After spending some years travelling and later working in countryside conservation, Nick swapped billhook and chainsaw boots for play text (not much cop for cutting back brambles) and jazz shoes (not as warm and hopeless trudging through mud) to train as an actor at Rose Bruford. He has hitched along the byroads, picking up lifts, often as an actor-musician, stopping off en route for projects as composer & lyricist, making a documentary about Evered Wigg (Who? Yup, doubt you will have heard of him) and recording musical albums. Drama, comedy, classical theatre, children’s theatre, community events, puppetry and pantomime have been part of the rich tapestry.
